May 9, 1-3 pm Saturday at the Smith Kimball Community Center- SHOW
CASE/OPEN HOUSE. Invite your friends to come and see what the Historical
Society is doing and become a member. There will showing off our Building
Markers & House Tour, our digitization of Foreman Films and the Clinton Local
and Items from our Archives.
June 23, 6pm at the Smith Kimball Community Center- PICNIC- Bring a dish to
pass and your table service.
August 7-9- US 12 GARAGE SALE… “tart collecting now…

NOTIFICATION OF UPDATING OF BY-LAWS- TO BE VOTED ON AT ANNUAL
MEETING AND TO TAKE EFFECT IN APRIL OF 2016. This will in effect raise dues
for single $8 to $10 and Married Couple from $12 to $15 and make Life
Membership $150.

BUILDING MARKER PROGRAM- HSC is still awarding building markers. If your
building is at least 75 years and retains its historical character you can apply for a
marker; by Aril 1, 2015. Applications are available at the Library.
CHRISTMAS HOUSE TOUR, Dec.12 , 5-8 pm. Believe it or not; planning for 2015
Walk is just beginning. If you would like to show your home or help call Norleen

New Life Member- We are happy to have a new life member Julia Glass. She lives
on Brown St. We are encouraging new memberships this year.
ARCHIVES- We have received some new records: Clinton Fire Department Logs &
1930s list of members of the Clinton Fire Association and Esther Schmidt Papers
Archives are open for research on most Fridays, 3-5pm. Check the web-site for
the schedule for working on the files on Mondays and working on Fridays. Help is
always appreciated.
MONEY, MONEY, MONEY- The HSC has spent around $700 on transferring
1930/40s Film, which we received in the 1980s from Robert Foreman, to digital
with the work being done by American Video in Brighton. This film was taken by
James R. Foreman who was Village President in the 1940s.
CLINTON LOCAL AVAILABLE DIGITALLY- The Friends of the Library & the Historical
Society have made the Clinton Local 1880-1960 available at the Library, digitally.
